Good to know before your visit
USVA by Terhen is an inclusive and safe wellness concept based on Finnish wellness traditions. Good manners ensure a respectful and pleasant experience for everyone.
The use of the gym, saunas, cold therapy, and spa area is at your own risk. The hotel is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or thefts.
- The spa area age limit is 16 years during USVA’s opening hours.
- In case of emergency, use the emergency button located in any sauna.
- The spa area is under video surveillance.
- We ask that you keep the noise level low and be considerate of other guests around you.
- If you notice any unusual behavior, please report it to our staff.
- To maintain a calm environment, we ask that you leave your mobile phone in the changing room.
- If you wish to take photos during your visit, please ask our staff for permission in advance.
- We kindly ask that you do not bring your own food or drinks to the spa area.
Changing Room
- During your visit, you will have access to a locker, and the key will be provided to you at check-in. Hairdryers and personal care products are available in the changing room.
Sauna & Bathing
- Our facilities are unisex.
- To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, please use a towel, bathrobe, or your own swimwear in the spa and sauna areas.
- We ask that you take a shower before and after using the sauna.
- For shared comfort, please leave drinks outside the sauna.
- Sauna use may not be suitable for people with heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, skin diseases, fever, or infections, as well as those taking certain medications. It is always advisable to consult a doctor before sauna use if you have concerns about your health or medication.
- Sauna use is generally safe during pregnancy, but always listen to your body.
- Saunas are also safe for children but should be used in shorter sessions. Never leave a child unattended in the sauna.
- Remember to drink enough water before and during the sauna.
Lounge
- The heated beds are freely available for all SPA guests unless marked with a “reserved” sign.
- You can order drinks and light snacks for the heated beds. Heated beds can also be reserved in advance, and catering can be arranged for them.
- In the lounge, you will find “DIY Sauna Therapy” and “Treatments” folders, which present the concept, services, and available DIY treatments along with their prices.
Treatments
- Please arrive 10–60 minutes before your treatment to check in and prepare, especially if you plan to use the sauna before your treatment.
- For your safety and to ensure the best experience, we cannot provide treatments if you are sick or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- We follow principles of a safe environment in our premises and treatments.
- We do not tolerate any form of discrimination.
Gym
- Please be considerate of other gym users.
- Wipe down equipment after use for the comfort of everyone.
- Gently placing weights back helps maintain a pleasant atmosphere.
- Please return weights and equipment to their proper places after use.
- We ask that you limit mobile phone usage to minimize disruptions and maintain peace in the environment.
Health Condition
- If you have any health concerns, please inform us when making your reservation. We may need to adjust treatments to ensure your wellbeing.
Gift Cards
- If you have a gift card, please bring it with you to the treatment. Gift cards are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
